Finally!

After years of either being homeschooled or attending schools in countries that don't believe in snow days, my kids finally had their first, school-sanctioned day off because of snow. Actually, Sam didn't - his school didn't cancel, but we deemed it a snow day for him because neither Mark nor I wanted to take him! Mark did eventually go to work, but by then he had convinced us that "no one!" was actually at school, so his attendance was pointless. As we all know, the down side of snow is having to clear it. We enlisted the help of everyone, though, so none of us had to be out in the wind and bitter cold too long.

Ahnalies like to point to this as proof that she is abused and unappreciated by her brothers.

Bailey had great fun jumping through the snow that was nearly as deep as she is tall!

And getting to jump all over Joe in the snow - even more fun for a dog!
It didn't take long for her to become a very snowy, cold little dog.

It was a fun snow day!
